Our mission is to bring Ireland’s cultural heritage to life by making it possible for people interested in archaeology, anthropology and history to experience the excitement of a real archaeological research excavation.
Join this exciting excavation during the summer of 2012. Team up with expert archaeologists excavating a buried 13th century Dominican friary in Trim, County Meath, Ireland.We will take you into the discovery zone where you will have buckets of fun whilst learning the skills of an archaeologist. This wonderful site is a rich store of archaeology and history. The excavation is unearthing lost buildings and artefacts buried for over 700 years.
Be a part of our mission to transform this treasure trove of Ireland’s past into a lasting legacy for future generations to enjoy.
Participate in this real research excavation and:

learn about the Dominican monks of the 13th century

discover and record features of the site and its finds

immerse yourself the incredible archaeology of the Boyne Valley, County Meath
No experience is necessary, you will be shown how to work with the tools you will need.
